Editorial standards

Not an AI App is an independent AI news website. We identify original sources, explain developments in context and keep three things apart: what we verified, what a maker claims, and what we conclude.

Attribution and corrections

Every article links to its sources, and important claims link to their source where they are made. Material corrections are made in the affected article with a visible note and an updated date.

Testing and measurements

When we test something, we describe the machine, the date, the version and the method, and we say what we did not test. Our measurements are observations from a small number of runs on our own hardware. We present them as such, not as benchmarks.

AI assistance

We use AI assistants for research support, drafting, testing scripts and illustration. A person checks facts, numbers and conclusions before publication, and the person named in the byline is responsible for the article. AI-generated illustrations carry a visible label under the image. Screenshots are real and unedited apart from resizing and layout.

Advertising and affiliate links

Advertising placements and affiliate banners are labelled. They never decide what we cover or how we judge it. Sponsored coverage, if we ever introduce it, will be clearly identified.
